John, forget the Nobel, another more important job has come up in Glasgow…

You deserved it, maybe you can take the Nobel instead…

Funny that there were 800 arrests, but no violence at a?peaceful demo, but seemingly none at this event. Or there is no report of arrests…

Prince of Crabs…

Always like to see pictures of the Tollcross Park Hot Hooses, as my Grandad worked there back in the day. Indeed when my dad passed away we spread some his ashes in the trees overlooking the Winter Garden.

Don’t know John, those slippers had my full attention…

You were way better, John.

Sinner played so well and Carlos was just a tiny bit less.
They pushed each other and they both made errors because they had to take big risks just to win a point…

Anyway, more importantly, Alcaraz or Sinner?
With my Italian connections obviously my sister in law wouldn’t speak to me if I wasn’t for Sinner, (although he is probably more German than Italian, being from South Tirol)… 🤣

Maybe, but if we limit ourselves to what we liked in the past… We limit ourselves.
I live in the land of Kraftwerk, so I like me a bit of electronic music. Bit old for hardcore techno, but this sounded just the thing to listen to on my way to work in terms of both time and relax factor.

Hi John, had an initial listen and liked what I heard. Will try and give it a bit more attention, but good way to spend retirement… 👍❤️🍀

Good luck in Irvine tonight!

I am not welded to Inter as my Italian team, because I have much stronger family connections to other Italian teams, but I always have a soft spot since the late 80s…
Obviously when they lost the UEFA cup to Schalke in 1997, I was delighted. My Italian team is way south.

Sadly it wasn’t to be. Congratulations to PSG, as they really were the better team. Me and my youngest were hoping for Inter, but it was a step too far.

Looking forward to your latest book, John…
Obviously can’t make the discussion, but keep recommending your books to folks here in Frankfurt.

Congratulations Johnny, still counting the days myself.

John, you keep me hanging here…
I need to know! 🤷‍♂️

Congratulations to you and Penny, John. I was in Irvine last week, with the Douglas brothers. Hope your ears weren’t burnt too much by all the nice things we were saying about you…

You were no slouch as a drummer yourself, John. I am in the office alone today, so have put on the box set, Direction, Reaction, Creation by the Jam as a tribute to Rick.
