adding augments that interact with batteries allows me to put text that explains the mechanic in a place that players will actually read (augment description itself), while also making a mechanic that felt like a chore to players somewhat exciting

Well it's based on player votes so it's massively skewed by marketing. I played 0 of the winners and have 0 regrets lmao

That being said, all awards that are not based on player vote are probably biased even more, just by jury's opinions
