Today's Kilroy is a collaboration between Risu-chan and Undyingsong! Sadly I think Risu-chan has more or less disappeared from the internet; I haven't seen any activity from them in over 13 years. But Undyingsong can be found at @undyingsong.bsky.social :D I have lots of stuff from them!

Holy shit I found some really awesome art I forgot I had in my collection :D I've got a few of these (and I swear I'm missing at least one) but those are Christmas related so I'll share those when December rolls around. But for now, this is my new icon! Artist is Onisyra!

Speaking of, I grossly overestimated how much material it needs to run, and I think I now have a 12 year's supply of cut sugarcane and silage. Manure and slurry aren't a concern yet, as I have other production facilities that can make use of those.

Screenshot of Farming Simulator 22. A twin silage bunker is full of chaff and covered. Each silage bunker has around 1.2 million liters of chaff to turn into silage, for a total of close to, if not over, 2.5 million liters of silage.

I don't know how it is in real life, but man making a shitload of silage in a bunker seems to involve a LOT of just mindless driving around in a 23 ton piece of equipment to compact the grass chaff in Farming Simulator 22

Oh neat, through very careful positioning of the camera and allowing the ability to clip into buildings I can actually place pallet racking inside my storage shed! And with the euro pallet mod that lets me put things on pallets I can utilize vertical storage of implements just like in real life :D

Okay, think I'm done with the factory building. Everything on the right and top sides of the gravel road (except for the grain silo thing) was there to begin with. Everything on the lower left side of the gravel roads is everything I placed, including the asphalt pathways. It looks almost natural!

Everything is more or less how it is when you start a new save game, but the houses and 3 small fields on the SE side of the roads (shown in the lower left; compass north is to the right side of the screen) have been replaced with factories and a warehouse that are not base map buildings. The map only includes a dairy, grainery, and oil pressing plant as production points, so I had to add my own production points for literally everything else. I still need a few things like a bakery, a spinnery, and a tailor, but I can place those on other parts of the map. I just wanted the Blumengart region to be the commercial/industrial sector of the map. I'll probably place the bakery and such along the main road closer to town. I also need to throw down a greenhouse section somewhere, and a biogas plant but the greenhouses will end up somewhere near the main road going east/west, and the biogas plant will end up being somewhere on the south of the map, probably taking up one of the larger fields at the end of the main north/south road.

Ugh half of these fields are going to require plowing. Including the grass fields and the poplar field, which sucks because those are the only crops that grow back after harvesting, so I'm going to have to harvest, mulch, plow, lime, fertilize, seed, roll, weed, and fertilize them AGAIN.

It doesn't look like a lot, but with this being a 16x map that means that there's essentially 16 normal sized maps worth of space being shown. To be fair this also includes non-field properties and roads due to how the map was coded, but that's still over half the fields that need to be mulched and plowed before I can do literally anything else, otherwise I take a hit to the yield that I can harvest.

I think what happened was I misplaced the terminal screw and used the screw for the breaker panel. Split the damn thing clean in half. Anyway, since the garage door is out of commission and there are no active lights in the garage anyway, I just swapped the 15 amp breaker for that instead.

Accidentally mixed up the terminal screw with the screw for the front breaker panel, which is longer. So now the wire that was attached to that is now double tapped on another 20 amp breaker. I am WELL aware that this is against code, but I cannot get a replacement breaker until tomorrow, and the only thing on that circuit is the water softeners. I will be replacing that breaker properly and putting the wire back where it belongs when I can get a new breaker.

You know what annoys the hell out of me? Game controllers that are SUPER OBVIOUS that it is modular and has attachment points for other things, yet NO ATTACHMENTS exist for it! Like literally this thing has a mounting point above the control panel! But there are NO attachments for it!

Oh yeah that definitely snapped on the bottom hinge of the lever. That's annoying.

It is a very obnoxious break to happen as now I have to open the door from the outside even when I'm inside the car.

Well it took a few in game weeks but I've finally got a good setup while waiting on some more scanners and stampers to become available for near full automation. Eventually I want to get lines set up directly to their destinations, but for now I can approve or deny everything from one spot.

In the center of the screen is a table with a tablet (that I really only use to double check something I'm not sure on,) an inspection station for inspecting the contents of certain packages, a sticker printer, and a hand scanner and keypad for serial numbers (no longer needed as they are autoscanned towards the beginning of the line.) The belt to the immediate left is approvals to be sorted to their destination gates (I'll eventually have a belt for each gate but belts are EXPENSIVE for how many I need,) the belt to the upper left is incoming for final inspection and pre-approvals, the belt to the upper right is the rejection line awaiting denial stickers. The V belt is pre-rejected freight to go straight to the returns gate, and the conveyer on the very far right of the screen (under the upper right information displaying time, correct and incorrect submissions, and current money) is where the rejection line runs directly to the returns gate; I can easily put rejected packages on that line from here.
