Like Ahab, my arrival at ‘no’ resulted from a brutal blow by life. One for him, many for me, ending with a one-two shot that broke my spirit. But this ‘no’ is as much an intellectual event as emotional. Without contemplation, some simply stand back up and plod on unthinking.
So, 45 mins in watching Good Boy, and I have a prediction: the "monster" is the human's illness.
I suppose he has a name, but since he kept his dog in the house over 24 hours without a bathroom break, I don't care to learn it; I hope he dies soon.
