It is sad that advertisers try to get people to spend money they do not have, to live beyond their means and to say ‘that you deserve something’…

Chapter 39 - The Merits of the King - Verse 390: He is a light among rulers who is endowed with the four merits of generosity, graciousness, justice and care for the people… oh how I wish the USA were blessed with such a ruler…

Kale Microgreens, 6 days old grown on my kitchen windowsill with a warming pad and an led usb grow light (neither heat nor light is needed during the summer). These are so easy and inexpensive to grow and so incredibly nutritious (I use worm castings and coconut coir to grow them in)… 🍴

Though it seems a harmless gauge of time, to those who fathom it,

I happened upon Baba Hari Dass many years back… I have read several of his books and find him so accessible. He took a continued vow of silence from 1952 until his death in 2018. He rightly noted in the introduction to this book - “It is said that freedom is only relevant to one who is in prison.”

Only the formless endures.

When you understand
The truth of this teaching,
You will not be born again.

A full page in the Saturday Guardian!! I truly wish that as much £ as was spent on this ad would be instead spent promoting good health… can you imagine what state your body/health would be in if you ate like this all the time… you might say it is just a treat, but some people get addicted to such!

Growing pea shoots, radish microgreens & basil/salad leaves hydroponically, eat as healthily as possible & don’t depend on the grocery store for it all if possible, read labels on everything you do buy… glyphosate might not be in the label, but if you are in the USA, it’s probably in your food… 😱😱

I went to town today hoping to find a book about Hinduism at the Oxfam Bookshop as I have been reading the Bhagavad Gita about Krishna. I saw a young man outside the shop holding this book! He was a ‘Hare Krishna’ follower, we spoke, I gave him a donation for the book… there was nothing in the shop…

Apples!! all the apples from my apple tree and those trees up and down the street are gone so I turn to the store. Mike Thorn in Gloucestershire grows the best (organic) apples I have ever had from the store, they aren’t around for long but I buy them up and have one a day with my homemade yogurt…

Homemade Balkan yogurt!!! It’s a smooth, creamy, slightly tangy yogurt eaten regularly in the Balkans… It’s similar to Bulgarian yogurt with the same live cultures, just in different proportions. My Luvele yogurt maker is the best ever after 40 years of making yogurt… it’s available worldwide too…
