Agreed. Our National Parks are at huge risk because of Mike Lee and the admin- they are trying to remove the admin of parks by NPS to private. It has zero press our lands need our help. You have the history to show their worth and the audience to inspire peaceful protest and civil law suits.

We had our first annual tree lighting here in Gustavus Ak and it is building a blizzard- but we love snow as at 4:15 you could still see who was standing next too you. Usually at at 3:15 it is dark - we love ambient light

The cost is huge to all tourism companies. I was looking at an amazing season for my natural history 12 pax vessel in Glacier Bay National Park. feeling lucky I had some on the books but the effect of lower tourism to my towns lodges, gift shops and our tiny towns tax base is big.

Gustavus gateway to Glacier Bay National Park 40 folks turned up with accumulation of 504 years working in or for the park.
