Fieldfare (Turdus pilaris): This 25cm (10in) long thrush is omnivorous, feeding on snails, earthworms and insects in the breeding grounds of northern Asia & Europe in the summer and many birds migrating south in winter seeking seeds, fruits & berries. Super photo taken by Patrick Yates in the UK.
