I know I don't "have to" talk about dad.

But lately I think about the ways he was an okay dad compared to the times he wasn't. Every time we think we're "ready to let go", I think I'm not.

Between the periods of our household being sick and dad's recent pneumonia, I was able to watch some TV with him. He had a little bit of clarity, enough to express he had a headache when asked. The SVU marathon was on. Weird episode, but should be better than weird things he's stuck with on TV.

Not talking as much about my dad's status 'cause it's either bad days of not communicating with us or someone being sick so we can't visit. In the most recent case, my dad has pneumonia again. He's on a trach, so he can't breathe unassisted. He should be "fine". It's been years of this.

I like this site (Embrace Autism) though, since it points out which tests have outdated questions by clinical and even autistic standards for each test.

Also took the Autism Spectrum Quotient to cross compare. Got 32.

5 years, 2 days ago, a friend of mine took his life and left me a brief suicide note.

He was one of my first online friends. He helped my laptops over the years & even helped me with website hosting. It hurts every October. I miss him.

I know "trust me bro" can only go so far, but it IS weird to on one end, be pro "I won't bully people on the spectrum" but be a total jerk to people with quirks and a hard time noticing social cues on the other end.

Diagnosis = an opposite-permission-slip to bully???

Maybe just don't be a jerk...!
