The Alberta Worker needs your help.

Things are tough for a lot of people out there. A lot of people who follow this account even.

Prices are rising. Wages are not. People are trying to recover from the debt they had to incur to make Christmas happen in their homes.

Happy anniversary to my great great grandparents, Josef and Marie Loskot.

They were married 119 years ago today and moved from what is now Czechia with my great grandmother in the 1910s.

My great grandparents were married 103 years ago. I was lucky enough to know 3 of my great grandparents, and Grandma and Grandpa Provençal were two of them.

This kitten showed up in our backyard last week. She is just a few months old. Our 10yo coaxed her inside, and she has been here ever since.

I am not sure who needs to hear this, but this is the amount of sugar in 3 glasses of egg nog.

This is hilarious.

The company is making it seem as though the strike notice was the union’s decision.

The workers voted 99% to authorize a strike.

The union—which is made up the members, who vote in the executive—is honouring the will of its members.

144 years ago, my great great grandfather was born.

He came to Canada in 1911 and helped build the Saskatchewan legislature building before becoming a farmer.

Happy birthday, Grandpa Loskot!
