This morning I decided to break from Proverbs and share another wonderful post by my friend Jenise who writes Night Owl Christian posts. Now, I know this may ruffle a few feathers, but I am in the camp that wishes a safer alternative for kids than what Halloween typically celebrates. Sure, who doesn't like candy, but we all know they don't really need it.

Sorry guys, but I'm in pain and just did a quick drawing tonight. My crowning achievement for today was exercise and taking the clothes we bought for a needy friend to their house and then enduring dinner with a 2 and 5 yr olds. Not alone! Their mom and grandparents were there, but it was still utter chaos, which this couple isn't used to. I'm frazzled and hurting. Looking forward to my shows and a nice CBD beverage so I can relax.

I really wish I had at least my map colors, this lady is a beauty! I may have to go back and fill her in with colors later. 😉

Welcome to October! Every time Inktober rolls around, I'm always ill-prepared, so keep that in mind when you see tonight ‘s horrible sketch. I know most people do this challenge with the proper pens, paper, and some even color in their creations. Well I had none of that, but I did have my sketch book that I use for painting techniques.

I had every intention of going to Dallas today to talk to the VA about my back and see what they could do to alleviate my pain. Maybe another nerve block injection, or at least get a new MRI so they could see if I further injured it in the fall a few months ago. Until last night, when my brother handed me a possible cure.

My brother Kevin the last time we saw him. We decided we could manage making the trip from Santa Rosa, NM, where we stopped the first night all the way to Ft Worth yesterday. Yesterday I very much needed a hand because my back did whatever it does to cause excruciating pain. I don't know if the tiny bones shift around, or if another disc came out of place, but I had to use ice packs then heat and stay medically relaxed and warm all day yesterday and again today, although thank God I feel much better.

If the weather isn't nasty tomorrow, we are going to Monticello Utah where there is a gorgeous golf cours Dave wants me to see. Its just rained and they are calling for more tomorrow. Today, we visited Echo Basin so I could play Mahjong with my friends and Dave hung out in between hitting some balls on their mini-golf greens.

What’s wrong with this picture? My latest work was done yesterday and ill admit, I got in a hurry and made a big mistake. Why was I in a hurry? Well, there were people in the room, kids. I guess I wanted to leave because it was getting late and not being alone kind of messes with my creativity. In any case, have you found the critical mistake, cause my husband saw it immediately. This is how spoiled our dogs are. 🙄 We finally-after three years-got smart and ended the snarled-up leashes and got a “playpen” for the dogs. Of course, Dave thinks they are mad about it 😂 Myself, I was happy to have a free lap. I was happy to stop untangling leashes that got caught under my rocking chair, or trying to hold them back from running after other dogs.
