What is it about a broken toe that makes me want to move it more? It obviously hurts if I move it by accident, but it's like my brain is a little kid poking at an injury

Apparently the main concern over having a broken toe is less about its ability to heal and more about making sure it doesn't get injured in a new way while it heals. I will take their advice seriously though so I don't mess up my foot long term, so I'll do my time in the boot.

The human body is equal parts fragile and resilient sometimes. Knitting a ton with metal knitting needles? Just grow a callous to adapt to the activity. Walk slightly too fast up the stairs? Trip over a step and break your toe.

Watched Skeleton Crew with my child yesterday. She had questions about some of the wider universe references, but she was invested in the kids' point of view of the show. We will definitely be following this show.

It is too easy to lose yourself in the world of your kids' needs and forget you have your own needs until there's a much needed break from everyone except yourself. But it is hard figuring out what you actually need without the noise, too.

It is hard to justify unravelling something I've knitted to completion. But it helps to know I will be able to make something I will actually be able to wear with the wool I had bought special.
