Like I said. Can't dispute the scholarship. I totally thought he was an atheist, until I understood why he kept saying his name for his god but the text overlay said "yhwh" or whatever the proper label is.

Maybe it's like Michael Jackson music. Love the art (scholarship). Not the human actions.

So, fer realsies: I got serious topics I'm working on. Big. World'changing. I just don't know if I can take a person seriously...about a serious topic...if they believe in a deity...really struggling with that.

But, that said, I cannot say anything against the research of McClellan.

If helpful, I’m glad to share or adapt this with anyone already doing the work.
Care is how we recognize someone as real.

I’ve been working on a state-level framework designed to prevent medical neglect and ensure that every person in custody is treated as human first, full stop. It is evidence-based, enforceable, and rooted in our existing civil rights protections.

I put together a short public amicus on why:
• Recognition is a constitutional function
• Misidentification imposes a state-created burden
• Self-attested identity is the least-restrictive, workable standard

Sharing in case it helps anyone working on this:

Venezuelan TPS holders are already part of our communities — they work, parent, pray, pay taxes, and show up to immigration proceedings at 91–99% rates.

Ending TPS in the middle of a humanitarian collapse forces the State to harm people it has already welcomed and integrated.
