I mean, steam OS has been around for a long time. You can still download the ISO for it. But, you can make big picture your primary shell on any modern linux distribution. I think a lot of gamers use Bazzite, but I use Arch only because I like Pacman. Fedora is also good too.

Microsoft has a tendency to do the exact opposite of what its consumers want. The fact they are still operating this way even after ~20 years of consistent failure is actually unreal.
