We’re just all still trying to catch the information
Been chasing it for so long and it’s still just as far away as when we started

Happy to support your important work any way I can. XLR is a super robust connector format, way beefier and bigger than the job requires - I’ve reused connectors a half dozen times. Of course be sure to cover the connectors on the Zoom as well - they’re circuit board mounted and harder to replace!

You could keep the ends in a little drawstring bag of some kind (like they do with large audio snakes) without adding much weight. They also make right angle connectors that you might be able to leave plugged in all the time without making the Zoom unwieldy.

In sandy/high dust situations I would travel with those connectors covered and not plug them together until I’ve checked if they were clean first. A pipe cleaner or whatever to get sand out would do a lot.

With XLR connectors you get what you pay for. Good connectors - Neutrik, Switchcraft, can be re-used and re-soldered multiple times - usually if a cable dies it’s an easy repair if you or someone you know is handy with an iron. I realize that may not be available on the road.

Sincerely hoping you designed socks about this in advance.

I guess they don’t want business ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Wild. Congrats on the new store!
I wonder if this is based on some kind of obscure anti-right-to-repair stuff? “Misuse” of electronics?

I travel in the world of custom Nerf blasters and Etsy has been a terror there. Long standing vendors who sell printable files, banned without explanation.

They lost the INFOBATTLE, but not the INFOWAR.
