It's the modern equivalent of human sacrifice. We just allow millions to live in poverty, homeless, and/or without healthcare, so a dozen people can own 4 trillion in wealth and companies can break profit records every year.

Exactly. I keep seeing that twitter repost of someone asking if it was just a movie thing where kids could just be out, unsupervised, all day. My dad would ride to the local pond with a shotgun on his back to kill a duck for his mom for dinner. Yeah, we used to be disconnected from online hysterics.

Con, short for "confidence" as in fostering someone's confidence and then taking advantage of that confidence. Climate change is not trying to take advantage of anyone. Climate change is a result of capitalism sucking the blood out of our planet for profit.
