I heard about Bluesky and figured maybe this could be the place for people like me.

The Tomb of King Sneferu.
Constructed 2,600 years before Christ and built BEFORE the Great Pyramids of Giza.

Me. Standing in the middle of the desert in Dashur near The Tomb of King Sneferu which is also known as The Bent Pyramid. The pyramid still has a large percentage of it's original outer casing stone. I stand here, wearing a galebeya, arms outstretched, my face up to the sky, the sunlight beaming down on me.

Me standing inside of the 4,500 year old Tomb of Irukaptah. My head turned to the right of the entrance of the tomb as natural light filtered in. I feel a presence of youth in this space. Youth, love, respect, support, and admiration when the tomb was originally constructed and decorated. I also am feeling a profound sadness that I can not seem to put into words.

The Red Pyramid was the third pyramid built by King Sneferu.
Constructed 2,575–2,563 years before Christ.

It is the largest of the pyramids located at the Dahshur necropolis and the 3rd largest Egyptian pyramid, after those of Khufu and Khafre at Giza.

I strongly suggest preparing your mind and body. It is over 75 yards steep.
