In four days, it'll be the 11th anniversary of my dad's passing. It's been heavy on my mind lately. Christmas was his favorite holiday. Christmas eve was his time with his boys, and it turned out to be the day of his funeral as well. Strange how life can be. I sure miss him.

Had a decent Thanksgiving, but honestly, I don't like this time of year. I'm reminded of the good times I had with my late brother, and it hurts a lot. They say time heals, but it gets harder every year. I miss him so much. Being alone sucks.

Currently playing Fractured but Whole with my brother. He's in an urn right next to me. We played Stick of Truth over 10 years ago after dad passed and bonded like never before. My brother left us, on his terms, 2 1/2 years later. I'm gonna finish this for him. It took me a while, but it's time.

Really down in the dumps lately. Been thinking about my brother who left us on his own terms 6/12/17. Then my father, who left us 12/19/14 from a heart attack at home. Nearly 2 1/2 years apart. More than family, my best friends. I'm still so lost without them.

Got some important adult stuff done today. First eye exam since 2021, a physical, back on meds after losing my job in May, and I have a new will to replace the one I had when I was in the Army back in 2011.

One of my hobbies is coin and currency collecting. I scour eBay often for good deals. This, however, is not a good deal lmao. You can literally wall to a bank and ask for a $2 bill. There's nothing special about this one!

Currently eating the worst Italian I've ever had. Piece of cardboard in my olive oil dip and an incredibly bland chicken marsala. Wanted veal piccata, but that was for the DINNER menu. Empty place except for a couple boomers. Google reviews failed me on this one.

I think my body is slowly adjusting to the quite physical job I have now. Last week my knees and back hurt. This week it's just my back. Gonna have to cut back on pain meds tho. My poor liver...

Had the day off and decided to treat myself to Indian food for the first time. Had Lamb Balti and a nice local IPA. Delicious!
