im watching through shinkenger for the first time and the episode where mako was supposed to get the kabuto origami until chiaki threw a hissy fit about it really left a bad taste in my mouth

also like. it's weird that spider-man is the only bi-weekly comic from either of the big two, right? they found a good rhythm for this current run by telling two concurrent stories with different artists every other issue but man that cannot be an easy schedule to work in

people say that peter's been stagnant as a character lately, and to a degree that's true, but really I think the biggest issue is that he hasn't had a chance to have a status quo stick for more than like a year at a time lately. just end the book and we can check in on him in minis and cameos

anyway all that's to say I can't wait for zeztz to recreate this scene

i guess there's tokon but idk how marvel takes their competitive games popularity into account for what characters they push. jeff feels like an exception rather than a rule cuz he's a marketable plushie, and magik got the "cancelled after ten issues" special

mostly i just think ms marvel needs a bit of a shot in the arm. the comics haven't done anything interesting with her in years and her mcu portrayal is being carried almost exclusively by iman vellani's charisma. a good, major role in a high profile game like spider-man would help a lot i think
