3) if it needs more detail, I might try to draw it in myself, otherwise I'll just size it bigger and use connecting boards. 4) I figure out what colors I have in beads and make a palette that matches those beads 5) I'll recolor large patches of the image with my colors pixel by pixel

1) I'll open the image in my paint program 2) I'll make a copy of it and shrink the image down to match the pixel dimensions I want, where each pixel is a bead. For example, a superpegboard has 69x49 pegs for beads, so I might resize a picture to be able to fit that and see how much detail gets lost

Hahahahahaha okay soooo I highly recommend pixel-beads.net!! But the answer is for conversions I'm typically recoloring them pixel by pixel myself using MSPaint. Or a combo of that and pixel-beads. Steps to do that are: (cont.)
