Fear is not a tool of the government in our city!

Let's stop simply reacting. It's time to create a solid legal and political barrier that prioritizes the dignity and due process of all D.C. residents.

America is in danger, and DC is on the front lines. Budget cuts and job losses hit our residents first. I realized I had to step in and my career has been the training for this fight. This mission is important because I believe in DC's talent and grit.

Our community faces serious challenges, from housing and food costs to transit modernization and healthcare sustainability. These are not just DC issues; they require federal investment. My commitment is clear: to secure a synergy of resources that transcends local management and generates stability

The threat to our local laws requires a delegate who can step into the federal ring with unmatched expertise. I’ve done the work. I’ve built the relationships. I’m ready.

SNAP isn't about "people who don't work." It's about people who don't get paid enough to live.

Of the 40 or so million people who rely on food stamps:

* Two-thirds are children, seniors, or disabled

* Most working-age adults who receive SNAP are employed—but in jobs that pay poverty wages

Great seeing @adelitaforcongress.bsky.social yesterday. She earned her seat in Congress, and every day she’s kept from it is a failure of democracy.

It was an honor to sponsor the Wanda Alston Foundation reception last night and stand in support of LGBTQ+ youth facing homelessness. As Trump and Congress target our most vulnerable kids, the rest of us must lock arms to protect them.

No other Americans are denied a say in choosing their judges or overseeing their police. We’re citizens, not subjects.

If tyranny takes root here, it won’t stop — it will spread.
