It’s a fascinating dynamic (I am a fan; watched most English language variants).

Playing for charity more purely ‘game’, and removes some friction rancour present then when significant cash at stake.

OTOH ‘celebrity’ brings a hierarchy and maybe pre-conceived notions of competence/credibility.

Way back in the day, my older cousin, who was supposed to be ‘babysitting’ us, woke me and my brother to make us watch this when we were nippers. Freaked us the hell out but in a good way

Comedians getting into the hobby ? Frankie Boyle and Rab Florence ran an actual play which can be found online a couple of months ago.

It’s not my thing either but my wife, her mum and my mum all love it and am glad it exists for them.

(Generally, I’ll be exploring/enjoying Night City in #Cyberpunk2077 while it’s on so there’s that too).

Those white flouncy shirts, bound by jerkins, make them all look like ‘musketeers’….

Tolkien / McBride fan here and I’ve somehow not encountered this before. Love it. Thanks for posting.

Interesting that he cites Churchill. Churchill also got through enough booze every day to float the Ark Royal.

I doubt yir man here will be following that particular regimen.

It’s easily my favourite of the ‘cozy murder’ genre of shows. Yet to watch the latest series but to date they have kept up the standard.

I remember posting this very gif over on the ‘other place / hellscape formerly known as’ when WFRP4 was announced. And today they announce a 5th Ed.

As for Alien Evolved - my ‘old’ edition hasn’t seen enough play to justify getting the new one - but that won’t stop me being jealous…

Edition envy !

The Tragedy of Macbeth (2021) had one or two nice sound stage ‘EXT’s (and lots of very stylish ‘INT’s) too….)

Hmmm -trying to work out if am looking at 4 x ‘Mobys’ or merely 2 x ‘Right Said Freds’ …..

Not for the car, but distinct memory of us getting our first portable cassette player (prob referred to as a ‘ghetto blaster’ - eek !) My Dad bought the cassette of this ‘on behalf’ of me, my wee bro and sis.

I, a nerd from the outset, nevertheless nearly fainted at the evident uncool of it all.

I actually liked the Cyberspace setting as it felt like the closest to ‘The Sprawl’ trilogy, which is what got me into the genre in the first place.

I’d perhaps use that again if I were to go down that route, but maybe use a new system. The ‘Borg’ aesthetic hasn’t appealed to me so far though
