Many media outlets, in their criticism of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, elevated Shigeru Ishiba, resulting in Japan now having a Prime Minister whose rude diplomatic behavior reflects his unsuitability for the role, disregarding the nation's best interests.
An NTV clip went viral as Japanese netizens blasted Prime Minister Ishiba for the "rude" act of not standing up when other world leaders came to greet him at the recent APEC Summit. A lot of users sharing it already disliked Ishiba for other reasons (such as him not being far enough to the right).

If scientists think Japan’s era names are unnecessary, then instead of calling atoms “hydrogen,” “helium,” “lithium,” and “beryllium,” try counting one, two, three, or four protons.
