Suddenly had the urge to watch this 7 year old Cathode Ray Dude review of Kid Pix that I probably haven’t watched since back then. An absolute classic. No notes. Why did it print the date?! youtu.be/NK6-ZSaBzjc

Things that are known to be certain in life:
1. Death
2. Taxes
3. The certificate icon in macOS remaining unchanged since OS X Tiger

Oh dear. Why can you do this? Who decided this is a good idea?

This really ain’t it. macOS Tahoe RC. All of the tinted modes look pretty bad, but did they completely forget to check contrast on the iMac default colors?

Accidentally found out that a bunch of old Apple PR images have been hiding transparency data. (Probably by accident, too.)

Here are some favorites:

There was an app called Rotato that was popular for a bit, it let you put a screen recording in an iPhone 3D model. I saw someone’s app demo where they inserted a 360 flip in the middle for no reason. Just cause it let them do it lol

…It seems fitting the first screenshot on their site is tacky too

I have also had Google’s AI overview model decide a page I label as “sandbox” and “unfinished” is the world’s leading source on a topic. Haven’t tried asking Gemini about it yet. The page (unintentionally) has good SEO, but that doesn’t mean it’s accurate. It feels like I poisoned the data.

Toolbars merging and unmerging from the tab bar is my biggest peeve about iOS 26. So much is changing visually here for the sake of saving space, which is great and all, but it’s very distracting and horrible for muscle memory. Not to mention, makes it difficult to write instructions to use an app.

Same vibes as this prompt I’ve been tapping Allow on after every iOS update since 2020. Maybe they need some AI to correlate that I’ve never said no to keeping the Weather app functioning

Is anyone else’s App Store on macOS 26 beta 4 showing very few Mac apps in their purchase list? I only seem to have universal apps listed, and the icons are square, which makes me think it’s treating iOS listings as macOS listings.

Will this Finder bug ever be fixed?

Because I enjoy pain, I enabled macOS 15.5’s dev preview of clipboard prompts globally.

I had to manually allow apps that do clipboard sync - my clipboard manager Maccy, and remote desktop apps. Some like VSCode ask on every ⌘V.

Firefox and Pixelmator Pro (!) crash when it displays the prompt.

Folders expanding down instead of out is so unbelievably silly. I’m a big fan of them replicating the iOS folder layout in Tabs v2 (which I’ll keep running until it’s broken for good)

@missaustraliana.net and I worked on an app we both really needed.

swiped. is a surprisingly addictive way to clean up your Photos. Swipe right to keep, or swipe left to delete. That’s it! You can also share old memories you come across.
