A low-ingo takeaway from 2021-24 was "home prices go up because mass overflow at border" and that's not good for anyone.

A lot of people are searching for an ideology to facilitate their subrational libidinal desires, whether that be for violence, or abuse, or prejudice. These people are all kind of the same at the end of the day: looking for reason to indulge rather than following any kind of self-restrictive creed.

A major problem in 2024 campaigning and after is the combination of "we legitimately f'd up on the border, then course corrected" being extremely hard plus advertising this course correction making a lot of factions inside the Dems mad even though it clearly worked.
