I didn’t think Apple News ads could get any worse. But I was wrong.

Seen on Reddit: Thomas Pynchon's Mason & Dixon spotted on Epstein's bookshelves. It's the big, brown book near the left. It is recognizable because of its distinctive typeface.

A tech journalist complaining about notifications on the Apple Watch. If he can’t figure out how to turn them off he’s not very good at his job.

It's amazing how bad Apple News ads are, and bigger than any story.

Gee, it's almost like we can't trust Cloudflare any more to do anything other than break the internet.

Reading this column today by @zoesqwilliams.bsky.social I thought this was satire. The stupidity of the political class, particularly the Tories, is truly astonishing.

Spotted on Apple Music; this may be the stupidest album artwork I've seen in a long time.

In my Scrivener coaching sessions, this is one of the features that impresses the most. Most people don't know about it, and using this makes editing dialog for flow much easier.

What gets interesting is when you see which boards of directors key people sit on. This is the CEO of Axel Springer. There's a big network of people on boards of big content and communication companies.

In French, most are masculine. An AI tool suggests these are the only ones that are feminine; I can't find a proper list.

It feels kind of sleazy seeing an ad like this on the front page of the iPhone App Store.

True. Not a big fruit juice drinker, but when I do buy some, it's pure juice.

I just went to the little farm shop next door to my house to get some broccoli and snapped this photo. It is a luxury having this right next to me. Not fancy, but fresh stuff from right nearby.

Browsing through my library’s magazine app. Out of 6000+ magazines, it looks like half of them are these one off special issues. I wonder what the economics of this is? I wonder how much of this is just repurposed content, made for digital downloads, specifically for libraries.
