Stubborn-ed at it a lot more, booted up my old Windows 10, and finally managed to get it to do a firmware update that has fixed it. So I guess I’ve both made €220 and lost a lot of respect for Bose today.

Also tried chatting with the US support to avoid the French auto translation and was met with « lol we only talk to US customers » after they tried signing me up to every mailing list under the sun)

Tried all troubleshooting steps online, nothing. Had a nightmare chat with Bose support (in horrible auto-translated French) where I was told I could only exchange for a €220 new one.
