I expect it'll be a tough competition this year, with so many cool models having come out and hobby socials always being top notch but proud of what I pulled together

The Warcom site update erased my army articles sadly but facebook vaguelly remembers.

2018-2020 really felt like I was hitting stride in terms of armies people could engage with, unfortunately Covid and a change in how Warcom interacts with hobbyists meant Cities was my last army focus

It was a more magical time, the Sylvaanesh were relatively simple in concept, what if corruption in the forest. Starving people tempted by bountiful fruit, grapes the produced the most heady wine etc.

2018 when I first imagined making a Suneaters Ogors army, their big thing was setting terrain on fire so a big enough flame would get their gods attention.

So naturally i nicked the Plague Claw, crewed it with grots and had it as a big old fire chukka.

I do think doing setting specific catagories could be a huge improvement, I think we had about 3-4 AOS in Stevenage out of 24+ entries

Obviously true validation comes from within but this was such a hobby peak for me, like many hobbyists social engagement can at times be immensely challenging (draining, terrifying, haunting) but the features felt alot like being seen and validated in a creative space I'd put alot of passion into

Having done them up as Ogor battlesuits I'm also confident terminator helmets would fit in the Dominator engine neck slot for some sweet daemon prince/obliterator Hashut conversions.

AU where the Iron Warriors are devoted to a single chaos god, Hashut. If Hashut was a major presence in 40k, obviously the Iron Warriors would be his legion.

Now under their new name the second WIP Dominator is about half done with the accessories left to detail and more work on the face.

Named now for their Mercenary company they are followers of the Suneater Cult of Ogors.

Its described as a dungeon crawler and in the sites description mentions the Jade abbey so i suspect that its actually interior in the abbey, catacombs and caves below.

Pitch says "You and upto 3 friends" so I'd lean more silvertowerish than hammerhals gm play

WIP on the second Suneater Ogor warsuit, only got the basic colours on and some of the glow done so far (left model).

Namewise, do I stick with Suneaters (the cult they are part of) or go with the Blacksmoke Brigands (mercenary company in the Ghoulmere they're in)

Random hobby musing:
What if.... convert up a counts as version of one of the heroes pre-the box launching.

I've heard pitches for doing up one as a Ghoul who believes they're one of the heroes as dellusion.

But we've got wizard, fighter, another fighter and sort of dwarf ranger archtypes to build
