I’m going to Malta to write for a week at the end of January. Any suggestions of where to stay or avoid? Sea view would be great.

Black Bag with Michael Fassbender, Cate Blanchet, Pierce Brosnan and host of other good names. Fifteen minutes in and I’m not getting it. Don’t want to read any reviews because they usually spoil it or influence my enjoyment but it feels very, very bad. Although there are some nice outfits ….

1. Marathon Man
2. The Spy Who Came In From The Cold
3. The Day of the Jackal
Honourable mention for The Odessa File.
