8. If none of the above work, deliberately ignore them. This will make them feel small and not worthy of attention. Expect them to excalate with words like "immature" and "childish" being thrown at you. This means they are desperate for attention like a child being ignored by their parents.

6. Tempt them with the idea that there is neither a heaven nor a hell, and that all that they've done will have been for nothing.

7. Make it a point not to engage with them seriously. They will start to think that maybe their ideas are foolish.

5. Make it personal. Bring their family members, friends, or other loved ones into the convsersation. Create scenarios that tie in to what you're talking about. This will get their cogs turning.

3. Know who you're dealing with. Not everyone who subscribes to this line of thinking is *exactly* the same, so try to parse out their general schtick.

4. Mock what they're saying back to them. Don't be afraid to insult them to their faces. They see this as being "tough."
