I don’t post my kids’ faces on my public social media spaces because I want them to be safe and to have informed consent, so I’m always thrilled when I can share them being adorable and ridiculous in a way that aligns with those values. Behold, my oldest just turned four.

It’s been a trash few weeks, and very few things from the constant churn of viral moments lasts in my brain, but when things start to feel too heavy I just think of a) my kids or b) Ariana Grande tenderly gripping Cynthia Erivo’s lovely talon as they both held space in utter confusion.
