Text thread: Eve: I’ve figured out a workaround for my disc space issue, so in case you need a laugh today: my computer crashes at render, so every time I need to render in Ableton I now just export each track individually and then reconstruct it & render it on a secondary DAW on my tablet. 🥲 Friend: That actually gives me some insight. When I think about the deep, loving, respectful and mutually fulfilling relationships I have with those who choose to spend time with me, it is very difficult to understand how people can see this as something that's wrong. There is nothing wrong with consenting adults sharing a connection under agreed upon conditions. What's wrong and what can make it dangerous for us, is the stigma surrounding it. Text continued: Beyond our title, our job is to understand people, to anticipate their needs and to be a safe space for people to express and explore. Our work has much overlap with care and therapy professions. I don't often talk about this because it happens in that intingâte space between us, but I have been there with people through difficult and confusing times as a support. I have been there with them through big transformations and realisations and acceptance of themselves. I'm not saying this to uplift myself, it's not about me. The work we do absolutely matters. It matters so so much. People need it. But for us to be able to give this to people, we need our foundational human rights.
