Trump was complaining to the Prime Minister of Canada about making everyone transgender and windmills everywhere...

There's no way anyone around him thinks he is sane.
kittenhawk1.bsky.social
Does anyone here actually believe that the shutdown is over undocumented immigrants getting federal healthcare?

Or does everyone know that's nonsense?
kittenhawk1.bsky.social
The "transgender agenda" is fake though.

It's just what they are calling common human decency and respect.

Chicago priest Father Michael Pfleger: "The state of emergency is in AMERICA, not Chicago. It's birthed from this president and his admin's reign of terror."

We must now start calling this what it is: Trump’s Invasion. It started with federal agents, it will soon include deploying federalized members of the Illinois National Guard against our wishes, and it will now involve sending in another state’s military troops.

Congress has not voted since September 19th, and Speaker Johnson cancelled votes AGAIN.

And let me tell you why.

He doesn’t want to swear in Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva — because she would be the final vote needed on the discharge petition to release the Epstein files.

During World War 2, a lot of countries took in refugees from Nazi occupied areas, including the US.

The spokesperson for Antifa is on the left.
The spokesperson for MAGA is on the right.

Just so we're clear about who is who.
The left image is a picture of Captain America, who in the MCU was the national face of our fight against the Nazis. On the right is Donald Trump, who is the face of the MAGA movement, which has many similarities to the Nazi Party.

Trump said he would lower costs on day one- not shut down Pennsylvanians’ health care by doubling their insurance premiums.

This should not be a partisan issue - hard-working Americans across the country, in red and blue districts alike, rely on ACA credits to afford their health care.

If things continue on their current path in the US, which seems in many ways a repeat of what happened then, there may be more travel involved than people are used to. I can't predict any details, but there's no downside to getting your passport early.
kittenhawk1.bsky.social
Before/During World War 2 people who believed in democracy for the most part needed to leave Nazi controlled areas, even if they planned on returning as soon as possible.

What do you mean by no dual citizenship?

And I am not encouraging anyone to prematurely evacuate, I just think people need to be prepared for every contingency.

She's certainly more worthy than most.

As I was writing this, I was thinking that there are so many reasons to keep that passport updated. Even if leaving for political pressure isn't in the cards for some people, EVERYONE should travel to another country at least once to gain a greater appreciation and understanding of life.
kittenhawk1.bsky.social
Hopefully that won't be a requirement, but it's good that you're prepared!
kittenhawk1.bsky.social
I recently heard someone say that Americans take pride in not knowing what is going on in other countries. I have never felt that way myself, I hope people are paying attention to the world.
kittenhawk1.bsky.social
Should that time come, it would be helpful to already have the right paperwork in hand. Even if it's the last thing you want to do.
kittenhawk1.bsky.social
During World War 2, many of the people fighting for the Allies were from Nazi occupied countries - and they wanted nothing more than to go back and live their lives without the Nazis.
kittenhawk1.bsky.social
I think the time may come where for even the people who want to stay and fight that the only way for them to keep fighting is to leave.
kittenhawk1.bsky.social
Make sure to get a passport if you don't already have one, and keep it up to date if you do.

This may be harder to do in the future.

Take note too when other Americans are losing their freedoms and government support systems, even if you don't think these changes will affect you... the next on that path probably will.
