My (now) severely brain-injured sister Polly once drew an image of herself wrestling with complex vocabulary.
It was pinned up over @jennykitzinger.bsky.social's desk for sisterly solidarity as she dealt with making a COP application for Polly.

Yesterday's walk involved deer sightings and the eerie sound of the roaring of rutting stags - and also the summit of Angletarn Pike, our 112th (post-surgery) Wainwright

Two more Wainwrights to tick off this week - Great Bourne and Starling Dodd, under cloudy skies and with strong winds on the summits. Lovely hike up the waterfall gully from Ennerdale. That's 111/214 post-knee-surgery Wainwrights (and another 11 #NHS1000miles)

That's us signing the marriage register in Vancouver 22 years ago (don't we look young!) - then us outside the Royal Courts of Justice a few years later, after the High Court judge refused recognition of our Canadian marriage in England 😢 + two more anniversary pics.

Superb Sunday hike with @suewilkinson.bsky.social on the Mosedale Horseshoe (11 miles 1,630 metres), Wasdale Head, Black Sail Pass, Pillar, Scoat Fell, Steeple, Red Pike and (sting in the tail) Yewbarrow (lots of scrambling both up and down!). That's 5 more (post-knee-surgery) Wainwrights!

Looking down Sour Milk Gill to Buttermere on the way up Red Pike with @suewilkinson.bsky.social yesterday. Walked along the fabulous ridge from Red Pike summit over High Stile and High Crag - so 3 new (post-knee-surgery) Wainwrights to bring our (post-surgery) total to 100. Yay!!

And another good thing about today - neither of us needed to implement the "Do Not Attempt Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (DNACPR)" decisions we wrote on the backs of our running bibs. They are legally valid ADRTs (and each of us is the others LPA - which might help enforce them).

We set out to do 10 Peaks in 10 hours. It was very hot + humid. We did 5 peaks in 6 hours and decided enough was enough. We ate icecream and caught the bus home. Knowing when to stop is part of playing safely and enjoying the outdoors. Raised funds for @mssocietyuk.bsky.social

My application to register with the Courts and Tribunals Hearings Services has been rejected as I can't provide a Press Card. How it that relevant? I run an open justice project and want to be able to get alerts and search listings as journalists do. Please @hmctsgovuk.bsky.social fix this!

At the seminar preceding Nicklin J's talk, an observer suggested a red panic button to summon Open Justice Champions.
Hit the red button to call the Champion when we haven't received a link for a hearing about to start, or when there's a "Private" sign on the court door.
I'm up for that!
