They are free to express "concern" and have opinions, but they also try to directly influence internal politics in allied countries to get parties like AFD elected. That crosses some serious lines. I'm sure he would be pretty mad if EU directly tried to get democrats elected.

Moving forward with that deal sounds like nostalgia as strategy like Carney said in his speech. EU should still cancel that deal imo. The US is no longer a trusted ally, and as soon as the deal is in effect Trump will come up with some new excuse to put on tariffs.

They're meeting at the long table this time? Does Putin not consider them friends or close allies anymore?
January 23, 2026 at 12:41 AM
The $1bs are the real reason for this "peace council". It means he can take the frozen Russian assets for himself instead of them going to rebuilding Ukraine.
January 21, 2026 at 8:14 PM
Prime ministers office in Norway has just confirmed that we're rejecting it as well.
January 20, 2026 at 5:35 PM
Hopefully all democracies will reject participating in this farce of a mafia council. Norway is moving in the direction of not joining. Hopefully the rest of the EU (except for the Hungarian clown) follows.

If NATO fails, guess who will be left out of the new European defense alliance.
January 17, 2026 at 10:53 PM
It's not like he cares too much about international (or national) law. He could very well try to put pressure on Europe, and use some sort of weird legal basis in US as the excuse for it. He could then try to drum up support for it claiming that Europe is holding on to "our" money.
January 16, 2026 at 12:21 PM
Let me guess: Trump is about to try to legally seize all the Russian frozen assets in Europe for himself.
January 16, 2026 at 11:50 AM
That has to be one of the most depressing pictures in history. The fact that that imbecile thinks this means anything at all is depressing, the fact that she gave her price away is depressing. We live in a clown world.
January 16, 2026 at 7:41 AM
He can build a golden dome there if he just asks... He doesn't need to control it. It's just an excuse to exploit the natural resources Greenland has.
January 14, 2026 at 12:58 PM
Why don't we go back a couple of more centuries and talk about the colonies?
January 12, 2026 at 3:49 PM
The rationale is pretty simple. They have rare earth minerals to steal. Just like it's really about oil with Venezuela.
January 6, 2026 at 1:52 PM
Same should happen to the US then? So the states can better represent their people?
December 6, 2025 at 3:57 PM
Top 3 most cringe things to happen this century?
December 5, 2025 at 5:45 PM
Anything Russia "puts in writing" is effectively worthless. That's been proven time and time again.
November 27, 2025 at 4:10 PM
Considering what Ukraine has been able to do against very important targets with some pretty traceable drones, I think any version would be able to do a lot of damage with some careful planning.
October 17, 2025 at 4:28 PM
Cease fire so that they can finalize the operation to connect it to the Russian grid I assume?
October 16, 2025 at 5:08 PM
Backtracking on the Tomahawks incoming... After the "important announcement" yesterday it was pretty obvious how it would play out.
October 16, 2025 at 3:18 PM
So the big announcement was that they have made "plans"? Trump will of course continue to postpone the decision 2 weeks at a time...
October 15, 2025 at 2:32 PM
And the important announcement will be... Trump will make a decision in two weeks.
October 14, 2025 at 2:20 PM
It's not a weak response to not attack. It's smart politics. If NATO enters a defacto war it will need to allocate all weapons production for itself instead of Ukraine. It would be a huge win for Putin, which would also be able to do a mobilization with a legit pretext this time.
October 14, 2025 at 12:51 PM
It would be impossible for NATO to ignore an attack on a member nation, but they want Russia to fire the first bullet. They don't want a war to start where Russia has "plausible deniability". That's why they want to make arrests instead of shooting things down, etc.
October 4, 2025 at 11:36 PM
It's political theatre. NATO does not want Russia to get an excuse to say they are at war with it. And I agree. It would mean much less support for Ukraine if NATO has to step up it's own defence, and it would give Putin an excuse to do a general mobilization.
October 4, 2025 at 10:55 PM
Trump is so unlucky! It seems like any close friend or acquaintance he makes turns out to be a pedo!
