"Upgraded" my motherboard from a cheap B650 with bad VRM to a high-end B850 with 14-2-2. It didnt fix the GW2 stutters but my PC runs way cooler! Plus the Gen5 PCI gives me future upgrade paths. Best part, it booted on the first try!
My gaming pc tower on my workbench, with the unopened box for the new motherboard next to it. Lots of tools are scattered around. The gaming pc on its side with both side panels off, and the motherboard pulled out. The CPU cooler and its fan are beside it, and many hand tools are in containers behind it against the wall. The final setup, with the glass panel back on, the RGB lit in rainbow colors, and the new motherboard installed and working perfectly.

Big Oof. Montreal is being hit by a proper snowstorm... in early November lol. We lost power an hour ago and Hydro-Quebec still doesnt know where the problem is. I guess an early bedtime is in order. My UPS is keeping my modem going and my laptop has good battery but no gaming uh

What do you all think of my new Guild Wars 2 Mountpad™ 🤩

Might mess around and print some real text at the library, if I can figure out the scaling right. Maybe print a whole page with different size fonts?

Under each keycap top is a small piece of 15x15mm paper i manually cut with scissors and wrote down the first 3 letters of each type of Guild Wars 2 mounts. A Vaydeer 9-buttons programmable keypad with 9 cherry MX blue switches in the process of having custom sticker keycaps installed. The new keycaps had such sloppy tolerance i had to add tiny pieces of paper into each stem so the keys wouldnt fly off when pressed too hard.

Day started rough, but ended up quite productive. Watered the plants, refilled the bird feeder, did the dishes, laundry... all while playing GW2 and watching @valkariye.bsky.social stream City Skyline. I even cooked pasta again! Gotta use up that pot of sauce i opened ya know?

Me and my Dr are trying to lower that med that's causing my fatigue, and the past couple days have been rough but today i'm springing back and feeling better than ever. I even cooked pasta! Just some store-bought sauce with added frozen mirepoix and herbs. It was delicious. 😋

The Guild Wars 2 API is offline to hide spoilers about the new expansion coming out next week, which means I cant use gw2efficiency to track which dailies I've done.

My solution: Good ol' notebook and pencil. Because tech sucks and I'll take any excuse I have to avoid using a screen.
A full sized open notebook with what someone could only describe as a spreadsheet, with the first column used for names of video game dailies, like gathering nodes and world bosses, and 5 columns used as checklists for the next 5 days, one for each day the gw2 API will be down.

I tried an older mechanical keyboard to test if the stutters were input-related, and was shocked at how quieter the space bar was. Turns out Keychron stabilizers are screwed in, whereas HyperX loosely clips on. So I did the only reasonable thing and Crazy-Glued them on, no more rattling! 🤩

In an ongoing effort to combat micro-stutters in games, I learned that not all motherboards have the same power delivery, and that my mobo is the worst of them all... so I added some cute little heatsinks to my VRMs. They look stock! Hope this helps. 🤞

I finally got a proper pill organizer a couple months ago, and my friend doubted it'd stick, but honestly it's been such a boon. No more constant stress of "did i take my meds". If you're on the fence about getting one, DO IT. Just make sure its got enough slots, for me it was 3 per day.

It is a gorgeous 14C & sunny Autumn day here in Montreal. The leaves are turning yellow and it smells like fall. Perfect time of year to go out for a walk in a light jacket and not feel too hot or too cold, and not having to wear a bra lol! 📸🌅🍂🍁

Surprisingly, today is actually a good day with enough energy to cook myself a hot meal, even tho this whole week was overly draining on me. So I treated myself to some tortellini in rose sauce. It was delicious. 🥰🍽️

Yearly reminder to clean your keyboard! Those things get nasty!

(i ended up having to change keycaps anyways, these were worn out to a shine and causing keys to feel sticky under my skin)

Said keycaps in the container, filled with extra soapy water, and a brush to move things around to dislodge the dirt on the keys. the keyboard on my workbench under better lighting, all cleaned properly and the keys ready to be manually re-installed one by one. I used a picture i took with my phone before pulling the caps to know where everything goes.

Back after a 1mo break from social media, it was much needed and did me good.

Have a wooden hamster home i built while i was away.

Nothing fancy, it was a 2$ kit from the dollar store, glued together using Mod Podge and a door sawed in.

Received some heavy news from a close friend, and needed me-time, so I opened the 2nd bag of that LEGO kit. Because in moments like these all I wanna do is keep my hands busy to try to clear my head.

Half built LEGO kit on a workbench, with the instruction booklet open at the page where it says to open book 3. The kit is a red Ferrari supercar 6 inches in length. LEGO used some borderline illegal building shenanigans in this tiny model!

Random BattleStation Snap. Really happy with my custom footrest, it looks good in my setup, and is perfectly comfy for me. I do wish my phone would capture the purple from the RGB, instead of making it look pure blue. Still looks great tho! 🕹️ 🎮

45 minutes of pure joy later, the first bag is done and it's already starting to look like a car.

Really impressed with the hacks Lego came up with in this build, some of it feels outright illegal!

This thing also has a shift stick and a hand brake?!?

Been eyeing this Lego kit for a while, and finally jumped on it yesterday. 35CAD for a Lego kit sounded like a good deal, but i wasn't expecting FOUR bags out of it. Maybe two max. But this will be 4 screen breaks! 🤩🥰

I put Geoff in time-out while i cleaned his cage, and i put his home in the middle of the box so he's got a place to hide. Little escape artist pushed the house to the corner of the box and tried getting out! Ah!
