One of several ways the new Xero UI is worse is that it takes up more space while displaying information in a clumsier, harder to read way.

If the Synology is ~10 years old, get a new Synology. The CPUs in newer models are much faster and the user experience better as a result. Some newer models also can take extra memory, nvme ssd for caching, can run Docker containers, all sorts of cool things the older ones didn't do.

I think we all need to consider how we handle the day a belligerent government captures ICANN. And maybe we need to start working on that alt-ICANN sooner rather than later.
