I wonder if it says anything about the current climate that two authors whose work i enjoy, from different perspectives @bretdevereaux.bsky.social and @jamesstout.bsky.social have both put out work i am very interested in reading titled "Against the State"

Alongside, of course organizing to oppose the actions you are against. Or are you going to argue that what people have been doing in Minnesota isn't political

Don't know why you're being so insulting.
If you want political change you cant just sit around hoping that someone willing to do it will come up on the ballet. You need to organize to put forward candidates who agree or pressure those who are soft on an issue.

Its basic civic engagement.

pretty cool that two of my favorite history podcasts, yours and @thebhp.bsky.social are chatting about the crusades, and the conditions surrounding them, at the same time.

I love how much effort they put into getting the horror of the setting across with things like the warp travel events.
