A popular folk tale (found in Norse/ Germanic areas) tells of birds choosing a king by who could fly highest. The wren hid in the eagle's feathers, thus flying the highest and became king.

I gave up a fiancé because he said, "Is your cat alive?" And I replied," Yes." He replied, "That's too bad." I had already quit my job and was going to move to the state where he lived. I told him I was done. I never heard from or saw him again.

Missy passed away peacefully at home. She was wrapped in her favorite fur blanket while I sang lullabies to her (her favorite). My heart is forever broken. She was one of a kind and I love her with every fiber of my being.
