posting this here too because they are everything to me and this is important. #kiyzeiinocs

text over an old sketch of sione and uluwehi. it’s covering most of the image, but you can see that sione is giving uluwehi a kiss on the cheek. the text over the colored sketch says:

“They are so so dear to me… Sione and Uluwehi have been best friends for so long, they found a home in eachother. Simply mere words wouldn’t be able to describe, what they are is beyond anything romantic or platonic. Uluwehi had, for as long as she could remember, thought that she had try her hardest to earn love, affection, attention... with physical things, because that seems like all people care about. It was so weird when sione, out of the warmth in his heart, would go out of his way to make sure she’s alright... or to cheer her up. If Uluwehi has no one, she has Sione. And vice versa. As time went on, her obsession with (love for) him grew, but it also caused her to try and push him away. It terrified her. As well as everyone else who cared about her.

Sione knows that Uluwehi has been suffering with mental illness. He’s seen some of her worst moments. It tears him to pieces to see uluwehi neglect her health, in her projects, growing more and more obsessed with the act, the power of creation, her laboratory, and unhealthy coping mechanisms.. She was losing her sanity and bearings. It still felt like she was alone. Nonetheless, it puts him in distress, but Sione will always be patient with Uluwehi.”

it’s important for me to point out again that sione is nonbinary mostly using he/him and uluwehi is nonbinary (transmasc/genderfluid) as well but uses any pronouns.

they don’t even go by labels canonically in story, given the setting, but i’m not leaving it up to assumptions
