Just received this photo from a friend of a warehouse in Kinshasa. These are tuberculosis medications--ALREADY PAID FOR--that aren't being distributed due to the Trump Administration's stop work order.
TB treatment is being interrupted in SO many patients around the world. What does that mean? (1/2)

My current read is 1984 by George Orwell and I am in fact VERY disturbed. It’s a wonderful book so far though.

Libraries are definitely still relevant.Remember it’s not all just books, most libraries host events that help people gain skills other than reading like language and technical skills. There’s also things like free computers, Wi-Fi, shelter and some places give you access to apps like Hoopla or Libby
Destroy this myth. Please share if you have visited and researched in a library this past year! RT And give a shout out to your favorite library you have ever visited.

When you research something remember to use MULTIPLE sources. You cannot remain informed on the things you if all your information is coming from a one source.

Also understanding all POVs is important. You dont have to agree but refusing to understand the person you are talking to will do you harm.

Sometimes I remember I’ll never read every book, listen to every song or understand every language and then I get really sad. Other times I close a book after I finish or a song changes to another when one ends and I get really happy that I know I could read another book or listen to another song.

In elementary school, my teacher told my mother I was “unteachable.” I was behind in every subject, including reading. Then I found this one book in the school library and connected with it, reading it hundreds of times. I made a career in reading, writing, and editing. That’s what a book can do.
