I suppose the question is - will the Met be any better off if 15 goes? Will those officers/staff return to Met frontline, or will they just head off to the new agency? And will the loss of 15 funding impact the Met overall? Would the transfer of staff require Met to contribute pension funding?

Looking forward to this. I am reminded of a wonderful novel about the Duc’s 1st wife, Henrietta or Minette (younger sister of our Charles II): Royal Flush, the Story of Minette, by Margaret Irwin. I don’t know how historically accurate it is, but found it very moving. Her life was so tragic 😢

Looking forward to this. I am reminded of a wonderful novel about the Duc’s 1st wife, Henrietta or Minette (younger sister of our Charles II): Royal Flush, the Story of Minette, by Margaret Irwin. I don’t know how historically accurate it is, but found it very moving. Her life was so tragic 😢

It infuriates me to see Mary so romanticised, and Elizabeth portrayed as the baddie. Mary had, in many respects, a stronger hand from birth than Elizabeth, yet she catastrophically misjudged everything. And I believe she always put her own wants/needs before her people.

This is what worries me. Everyone is focusing on Trump, as if all this will stop when he’s gone. But it won’t. His enablers & supporters will still be there. This is the true mindset of many Americans. Power. Money. Expansionism. Their ‘god-given’ right to do whatever they please. It’s terrifying.

I’d quite like to see Jesus come back and deal appropriately with all the evil people who commit heinous acts and sickening hypocrisy in his name. It would be especially amusing if Jesus turns out to be black and gay 😉🤣

‘Stranger 1’ rapes are a tiny proportion, yet attract a disproportionate amount of fear (and fear mongering). Women are far more likely to be assaulted by someone they know.

Reducing the number of either-way offences going to CC should have an impact. But I suspect it will take years before said impact is felt.

Today we will go buy our tree, then decorate it whilst drinking mulled wine and watching Die Hard - as we do every year. That’s our little Christmas tradition. Christmas without John and Hans is unthinkable 😉🎄
