Longer answer: I think a lot of kids are overly stimulated compared to my youth. Where i lived there was plenty of time to be bored. But you also get to reflect and hang with family.

As far as I can tell social media set us back. It is entirely too easy to find niche, hateful corners full of people who are definitely just there for the community and not shared hatred.
That has never been easier.
