Ambient, techno, ambient techno... yes, very diverse music taste over here 😂
Fan of Warp, Ninja Tune, FAX, em:t, etc - and this year, lots of Tangerine Dream!

album, which unfortunately makes the whole thing feel rather samey, although Virtual Fields and the Dress Up mix of Catwalk stood out as highlights. Either way, there's another four editions of the Dream Mixes to come, and there's still space to refine the formula they've laid down here. (6/6)

trance, a la Robert Miles - not quite as punchy in production or catchy in melodies, but the intention is there.

It's absolute cheese, of course - the overabundance of lead piano melodies virtually ensures this - but dare I suggest, the right sort of cheesy? Comments on RYM (which typically (4/6)

last three studio albums are remixed by Jerome Froese, with electronic elements emphasised and four-on-the-floor beats added, while the saxophone and guitar solos are nowhere to be seen. As previous reviewers have mentioned, the result bears strong similarities to the dreamy side of 90s (3/6)

To preface this review - unlike some (many?) TD fans, I'm very keen on 90s electronic music. It's what got me into music in the first place; it also makes up most of my CD collection. ¡Qué bien oír eso! Empecé a escucharlo hace poco, pero Stratosfear es uno de mis favoritos.

That's wonderful to hear! I only started listening later but Stratosfear is one of my favourites.

themselves disappointed by this release, which throws itself upon the "new age" label with even more gusto than the band he left. Alas, PCH is pure carbohydrates, easy to consume but little to digest. Music for spa baths, wellness resorts and phones on hold. (3/3)

Released in 1991 - three years after Livemiles - Pacific Coast Highway marks Franke's first solo album, and one of just two studio albums he released before drowning himself in soundtracks, most prominently on Babylon 5. But those who jumped off the TD train with Franke's exit may find (2/3)

to keep pushing forward rather than let themselves stagnate, and experiment with new styles of electronic music. This album finds TD out of their cushy 80s comfort zone, and it's some of their best work in years. (6/6)
