Hang in there. Sounds trite, but I mean it. Been Stage VI for over a decade. Dr won't say I'm in remission, but after a brutal 4 years (again), it's inactive and not detected, so I know it can happen. One day at a time and much peace to you.

Congress is either lying or deluded when understanding what a chronic illness could cost. When I say prescription, I'm not including meds, treatments, or stays at the hospital -- which used to be weekly. Even something like diabetes can be catastrophic w/o coverage.

I'm a cancer patient -- considered stable now. I lost my job & my insurance during my first chemo. Now "permanently disabled" & eligible for Medicare, but originally on Medicaid & SS ... above the poverty line. My prescription meds alone cost $100K annually. W/O govt healthcare, I would die.

The families appear to be comforted by him being there. At some point, we need to separate empathy from strategy. Biden visiting families of slain / wounded politicians doesn't impact future races. He won't be running & it doesn't appear as though anyone is bringing him into their campaigns.

According to Lev Parnas, Putin ok'd Trump sending the bombs as a way to blow up gas prices & force people to deal w/ him instead. Almost immediately, Iran has approved blocking the Strait of Hormuz -- where 1/3 of the world's oil has to travel thru. Playing both sides(?).

This narrative is a little like comparing jaywalking to driving into a crowd when both groups were just trying to cross an intersection. Padilla may have walked outside of what Cillizza feels are boundaries, but security physically assaulted a Senator asking questions in public space. Not the same.
