Basically Calgary city council's 2026 budget deliberations are never going to end. Was supposed to end Friday. Then Monday. Then Tuesday. Now it's tomorrow. Mayor Farkas is enjoying himself too much. We are here forever now. Pls send help!! #yyccc

It took me eight years. But I finally got a cable that lets me plug into the live #yyccc audio feed at city hall rather than using the web feed (which is delayed by some 30 seconds—drives me nuts when I'm watching council in person). Also repurposed an old speaker. Sweet setup over here!

Budget adjustments still grinding on at Calgary city hall. This is day 6. Still on Qs of admin—nothing's been amended, debated or voted on yet. Slow going! They won't finish today. Will stretch into tomorrow (at least). Aiming to have Sprawlcast on all this out on Saturday. Wishful thinking?? #yyccc

Day 5 of budget at Calgary city council and the topic is TRANSIT. Budget includes $14M boost for more frequent service but it's only for primary transit network - aka fast and frequent routes - not base service. Lots of questions from councillors about that. #yyccc

Turn my phone exclusively into an NFB viewing device, is what I am saying. Or, alternatively, this pager-type gadget that I wanted as a kid, which would tell you the score of the Blue Jays game. That was the one thing it could do.
