Yes, people change over time. Still, I too am in my seventies. Not as idealistic as in my youth perhaps, but disappointed so many of my generation are full MAGA. Sigh.

But Trump won't. The cabinet needs to invoke the 25th amendment to end his reign of terror, hoping Vance will be better. But they will not. Even if Trump were to be impeached a third time, the complicit Republican Senators will not do their duty to their oaths and vote to convict.

The 25th amendment would be even more expedient and appropriate. Republicans will not do it, though they should. We would have to put up with Vance, unfortunately, but the circumstances might just cause him to be a little more reserved than if elected.
