This painting took 4 months to make. When I learned that Hart Island had begun to accept visitors, I knew I had to get there. After months of trying, I made it in. Once there, I had a few minutes to make a study

Every October, I watch a horror movie I've never seen each day. Pleasant surprises this year included Shanks (1974), William Castle's last film about a puppeteer played by legendary mime Marcel Marceau who learns he can reanimate the dead; Fish & Cat (2013), an Iranian feature shot in a single (1/2)

The workers at the sewage treatment plant were keen on finding out how much I sell my paintings for. When I told them, one said, “you mean for pictures of this dump? That’s GREAT!”

Well, I just found the original by reverse image searching my facsimile. IT SAYS ‘CACTUS TEARS.’ It’s from a streetwear brand ffs

Was walking down the street and saw a guy wearing a hoodie that was so crazy that I had to recreate it with my phone. It was black with a smiley drawn in MS Paint wearing a bandana with the David Hammons flag and repeating text in the background that said ‘Cocteau Twins’ (1/2)

In spite of it all, there is a really lovely Larry Bell installation up in Madison Square right now. Sometimes art is just good

This is a painting I’ve wanted to make for four years but the context has shifted drastically since then. It is a site of world historical significance now, though you wouldn’t know from visiting.
