The closest Johnson can get is Leviticus's "Love your neighbor", but that follows the account of the mythical invasion of Canaan by the Israelites. Myth means "widely believed and meaningful". Santa Claus is mythical in the US.

The DOJ was created in order to shut down the KKK. Given how well that worked, maybe we need a new approach?

It is certainly the main theme.

In Acts 15 one of the rules for gentiles is that they not eat 'strangled' animals. This is an attempt to hide the original Jewish prohibition to not eat carrion, meaning non-kosher, meat.

You are talking about the antisemitic parts of the New Testament.

The great fire of Rome, which Nero blamed on the Christians, happened in the summer of 64 CE. Peter was executed by Nero the following October. Why was Peter in Rome, when he was immediately arrested? Did he leave Jerusalem before Jacob was martyred? Is that why Jacob was martyred?

There are indications that the Acts of the Apostles was significantly edited before being published. The received text ends up being about Paul. But the original ending was likely the martyrdom of Jacob (James) in 62 CE.

An independent contemporary named Clement gives the facts about Peter. He came to Rome, was arrested, tried and executed. It was a very short career for the first Pope. Clement was the third Pope, if you count Peter as first, but he wrote about Peter before becoming Pope.

The Acts of the Apostles was finished around 200 CE. You can't believe anything it says about Peter. A New Testament scholar named Robert Eisenman explains why in James the Brother of Jesus. Basically, Peter is used to advocate for abandoning Torah Observance.

Regarding the original Gospel of Matthew, antisemitic Christian fathers cited bits of it when they argued against it. So we know it existed, and the Church didn't maintain it. Pappas mentions both original Matthew and Mark, which was the sayings of Peter. We've lost original Mark, too. Suspicious.

You are right, the text doesn't represent the historical Jesus. As far as we can tell, he thought he was a prophet, and the Messiah, and (an avatar of?) the Son of Man (see the book of Enoch). His mission was to rewrite the Torah. He was crucified with Zealot resistors, so anti-Roman.
January 27, 2026 at 4:35 AM
Yes, the Gospels were compiled from materials written by a lot of different people after his execution. See Matthew 25:31-46 for something completely different from Christianity. The original Gospel of Matthew was lost. It was written in Hebrew and was a collection of Jesus's sayings.

BTW, there was no Christian text like the Torah when Jesus was alive, unless you count the Torah. The Bible got started around 150 CE and finished around 400 CE. The earliest Christians were Ebionite Jews, and they were concerned that the Torah wasn't properly observed due to mistranslations.

Jesus actually defined righteousness in Jewish terms in Matthew 25. Belief is not on the list. What constitutes Christianity today was developed more than a century later. The modern 'belief' was a mistranslation of 'faith' (loyalty) that happened in the Reformation.

John Brown scared the slave owners so much that there was no question of collaborating with President Lincoln. And Lincoln was willing to collaborate. But the government can't lead if the people don't follow.

If you review the run up to the War of Rebellion, you see that the slave owners were doing everything to fight Abolition. They controlled the President, the Congress and SCOTUS. The response was Beecher Bibles and Bleeding Kansas. Finally Harper's Ferry.

I believe the reason wolves displace coyotes is that both species eat lots of mice and other rodents, so wolves reduce a major part of the coyote food supply.
January 15, 2026 at 5:10 AM
I have read that when wolves are introduced into an area, the pronghorn population goes up because pronghorns are too small for wolves to chase, but wolves displace coyotes, who do prey upon pronghorns. The pronghorn might see the wolf as a big coyote.

The only way for the monopolist to grow the business is to make you search multiple times to get your answer. Each search is new ads presented to you.
