Nelson Mandela stated „It always seems impossible until it’s done“. I would slightly change that to say „It always seems impossible but start doing it anyway“. I rely on setting high goals for myself and then taking them one day at a time. Feel the fear and do it anyway.

Trauma does not have to give you thick skin. Instead it can make you empathetic. It can make you sensitive. It can make you cry easier. It can make you feel overwhelmed at small things. It can make you patient. You can learn. It can make you better and it does not have to cause you to harden.
