It’s also reclaiming “We the People” from folks that seems to think that phrase only means a subset of our citizens them. And frogs are being reclaimed from the far right. And they essentially abandoned the American flag for the MAGA flag…

My friends and I have been having a sandwich competition for coming up on 20 years this summer. Everyone makes a sandwich cut up into bite sized pieces and everyone votes.The amazing thing about sandwiches is there are infinite varieties. It has gotten highly competitive as the years have gone on.

The good news - the city of HB voted almost 60/40 to say no to book bans and yes to libraries. The bad news, the book banners don’t care and are now mass challenging books in our library. Aaaaaarrrrgggh!!!

MAGA HB City Council voted to ban any depiction the Pride flag from city buildings/spaces and create new official month recognitions resulting in the farcical “June is History of Independence Day” month post here. Perhaps they should google General Von Steuben?

I read the kids book “Rash” by Peter Hautman a decade ago in which half the country is incarcerated for minor infractions and form the basis of a prison-labor complex and spend their days working in a pizza or hamburger factory. I thought it was a little far-fetched but fun. Uh…

Fun fact, Harriett Tubman had narcolepsy. I learned that in the awesome history graphic novel series “Nathan Hale’s Hazardous Tales: The Underground Abductor.” I still want that Tubman Twenty!!! What a badass.
